FEAST OF OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL 16TH JULY, 2017
The report on the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the enrollment into the confraternity of the Brown Scapular.

Throughout history, people have sought ways of approaching God, when God became man in our Lord Jesus Christ, this search became closer and better because god the son now has an earthly mother. With the love of a son for his mother, the Christ god would ordinarily not refuse his mother anything should she ask him on anyone’s behalf.
The preparation for the enrollment into the confraternity of the brown scapular and the feast of our Lady of mountCarmel classes for 29 days, the classes begins of 17th June in all parishes where we have the apostolate and ends July 15th 2017.

Below is the summary of all the topics that where treated.
1st Day Opening prayer and introductions (meaning of the word CONSECRATION).
2nd Day The World Apostolate Of Fatima History, Origin
3rd Day Seven Capital sins and the virtues.

11th Day Summary of 1st and 2nd Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.
12th Day Summary of 3rd and 4th Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima
13th Day Immodesty dress in the world of today
14th Day Four last things awaiting us
15th Day Veneration of Sacred images
16th Day Marriage and its impediments, Introduction
17th Day Summary of 5th and last Apparition
18th Day the 7 Spiritual works of mercy
19th Day Necessity of the blessed virgin and of Devotion to Her.
20th Day Enrollment into the confraternity of the scapular, renewal of the world apostolate of Fatima pledge and the Morning Offering.
21st to the end of the Novena where for questions answers, individuals were given the topics to teach.

16th which was the feast day, the mass was celebrated at Guardian Angel Police Chaplaincy Catholic Church Lugbe, Abuja. The parish priest and his assistant where all present after the mass for the celebration.

Titled Role of Mary in our salvation.

 In summary here are the highlight,
1.    Mary was necessary to God in the incarnation of the world.
2.    Mary is necessary to God in the salvation of souls.
3.    Because of her profound humility.\
4.    Because she is the handmaid of God whom he channels graces
5.    As she is the mother of God.
6.    God created Mary for Himself.
In the president opening remark he advised the newly consecrated member to become fearless as it regards spreading the Fatima message as little Jacinta of 7 years did in May 1917.
Rev. Sis Eustace Onuegbu the spiritual director WAF of SS Peter & Paul Nyanya was present during and after the Mass, also Her Excellency, Dame Mrs. Pauline Tallen former deputy Governor of plateau State send the second Cake that was used during the celebration. In the absent of our chaplain Rev Fr. Richard Gberikon  was represented by Rev Fr. Ambrose Igwubor.

Conclusion, we thank God almighty for the success of the feast, for the calmness of the weather and for the safe journey of our members and invited guest that came from far and near. The petitions were burnt by the assistant parish priest.35 Members were consecrated on that day.
